Sorry Granny, I’m late like mommy

I’m late on my Friday Granny McClamroch post. My Mom’s always late.  She told Daddy that when she passes, she wants a Post It note where her casket should be with “Be there in 15 minutes.”  Then 15 minutes later, another note, “En route, be there soon.”  Then 30 minutes later, her casket would be wheeled in with  another,”Sorry. Thanks for waiting.”

Last Friday I wrote that I was going to share something each Friday about my Granny.  Remember, I’m named after her Poker name, Flashy LuLu.  So, I’m LuLu.

Granny

Nancy McClamroch wanted her grand kids to call her “granny.”  She passed before I arrived,  but I’ve heard all about her.  I know she would’ve loved me, especially since she wouldn’t be allergic to me.  She was allergic to cats and dogs, but mom said she had Angora shirts, which means she wouldn’t have been allergic to my Angora fur!

Here’s Friday’s Granny feature, just two days late.

Granny was thrilled to be one of the founding members of the Lebron James Grandmother’s Club.  Not only did she love LeBron James (even when he went to Miami), but she loved spending time having fun with the other grandmothers.  She said they were vivacious and hilarious with great stories to share.

They country line danced at nursing homes, which was such fun.  The residents were delighted and the grandmothers enjoyed performing. Want to join?  Just click here for more information.

I love chasing Violet.  Then I hop over her.  It’s awesome to run and jump and play, but I’m thinking it’s making her nutty because she bit me.  Youwch!

                                                 

Otis Byerly

Otis is a little harder to jump over.  He’s huge.  I tried and landed on him. He hissed and swatted me.  That made me mad so I nipped his tail and hopped away to find one of my other 7 kitty siblings to play.  None want to play during the day.

These cats sleep all day then chase each other at night screeching and scraping nail over our hardwood floors. They need put on a sleep schedule. I need playmates during the day!

Yesterday Violet sat nose-to-nose with me.  I sat on the cat tower and she wad on the second-level vat bunk bed.  It was cool to see her pretty violet-gray hued coat.  She’s soft, too.  She cleaned my face, which tickled. I think I’m growing on her.Happy dance! xo, LuLu

Rather than sell priced by type, I’m offering my whole collection for $14 per pound.

That gets you EVERYTHING, PLUS 200+ extra sorted, packaged and labeled specialty items (not included in the pound count)

Some specialty parts sell for over $10 a part. When you average this across the board you are saving a ton of time and money by buying this set. There’s a lot of money to be made here.

Hmmm..I might develop a complex about this. But, no worry because I am very, very, VERY good at finding every last one of them!  Yeah, me!

O-REO! ~The cat who cuddles even strangers

Oreo, the black and white Calico we call O! prefers to hide atop the refrigerator where no bunny in her right mind would even try to make a leap to. That’s around 10+” high and my thumpers aren’t geared for that kind of spring!

Chloe ~ Clarice ~ The “I do bite” kitty

Chloe, the choleric personality (Mommy calls her Clarice ) tucks herself betwix and between sheets on my brothers’ unmade beds.Her orange, white and tan Calico splotches blend  with the rumpled sheets.  Sometimes the only inkling of her whereabouts is a lump!

Violet ~ Pelota-Velota ~The ride or die chick

Violet is too big and furry to even try to hide.  Especially since she is long overdue for a grooming and shave.

Violet is a ride or die chick. Her largess blunts her jump.  Meaning she does regular face plants smack dab into the maple cupboards.  Even so, she continues trying until finally someone picks her up or she gets there on her own.

You have to respect that kind of focus.  Although it’s funny to watch, I always feel bad for her.  By about the 20th jump she looks exhausted, humiliated and ready to give up.

Violet is lately  my No. 1 favorite cat this week.  I think she’s a bunny that wears her ears on her tail.  She’s a long-haired, deep violet-gray  dilute tortie  She’s shaped like a big mom bunny and she just seems bunnyish to me.  Like me, she doesn’t meow, but makes a series of peculiar noises.  Another clue that she’s really a bunny.

Sadie Sue ~ Subie ~ The gazelle food nabber

Sadie Sue, our resident bug eater, is easy to find.  Call out “cat nip” or open a can of wet cat food and there she is.  By “bug eater” I mean she has this sensai way of drawing even a ceiling fly to her level where she snatches  and eats it.  She’s brave enough to take one for the team with stink bugs.

Her every move is swift as a gazelle  She is fast, agile and knows what she wants.  If you leave food unattended,  expect Sadie  to snatch and run schlepping it to an under-bed location where no one can take back her conquest. That makes Sadie easy to find.

Sadie Sue, called Sue or Subie, enjoys tormenting xBox Boy, too.  On more than 9 occasions, Sadie‘s made off with xBox Boy’s Subway sandwich or McDonald’s burger.  He never learns. If she snags a Five Guys Burger…Yikes!  Kedrick might even weep.

Sadie‘s shazam-fast. Subie needs about a  half second to bat out of H-E- double L with your grub.  Especially if it’s pizza, any kind of meat, pasta or General Tso’s chicken. A momentary look away and Sadie‘s Houdini-gone with your goods.

Sadie stealing his food drives XBox boy bat-poo crazy.  Even so, I guarantee he’ll leave something he really wants to eat unattended and it’ll be whisked away by sneaky Sadie.

There are, of course, more cats..but it’s a nice day and you should be enjoying it instead of reading about where I find my kitties and how odd their fun nuances are.  I promise to tell you about the others another time.

Too big for my “britches”

I’m too big for all the girlie- girl dresses Mommy got me. Which, I am happy about.

People say I’m so cute in pink and yellow twill dresses with flowers, but those dresses seriously slow me down. I get hung up on stuff, too.

If I ring the bell in my hutch (with a dress on) I’m snared  until someone realizes my bell ringing is a mayday.

The dresses hamper my hop.  I like to ping and run super fast. The twill flips up over my head and gets me stuck in small places. I like to belly crawl.  Impossible with twill. My striped tunic is light weight and doable, but it isn’t my best look.

Litter box?

Well…I untrained myself.  For some reason I’m rolling poo balls like a mad hatter. And,  I’ve taken a liking to peeing on Mommy and Daddy’s bed.

If I stop for more than a second, on their bed, I’m on auto-pee. I don’t know what comes over me..I just start peeing and peeing and peeing.

I pee on the sly..I sit nonchalantly looking like I’m chill-laxing while I’m  soaking the bed.

Then Mommy goes to lay on her pillow and..guess what?! Pee-logged..which prompts an “Eek! LuLu!!”

Doggie diapers

I saw Mommy eyeballing the doggie diapers again.  I draw the line there. I can deal with an ugly tunic or twill flipped over my head, but I will NOT deal with  diapers again.

You have no idea how hard it is to hop pent into a diaper.  It crimps my hop and that’s just unacceptable.

How do I stop peeing everywhere?

Have any ideas on how to get me out of pee mode?  The vet said spaying me would help.

Mommy and Daddy thought about me having  baby bunnies, but I’ve showed them the error of their ways with my poo, pee, and new-found love of chewing holes in carpet.

I took a risk listing valuable stuff with no reserve and it’s not going well.  I’m giving the proverbial farm away.

 

Big beta oops

I did a Beta run of listing everything at 99 cents, and that was a total flop.  Even when people got stuff with a retail value of $80 for a total of $8 (including shipping/handling), they complained they paid too much shipping.

Someone bid on a ton of my auctions and then, when they closed, she cancelled all her bids saying shipping was too high.  When she was getting really nice stuff for next to nothing!    I’m going back to just listing stuff as BUY IT NOW..

Jewelry..need I say more?

I have at least a thousand things to list.  Mommy is thinking about calling an estate sale company and consigning or having an online auction through them.  Or maybe a “living” estate sale here. #tagsale #TOLEDO #Maumee #AUCTION #FORSALE

Mommy called some of the companies about six months ago, but none returned her calls.  I guess they don’t much like having estate sales with people still on the right side of the grass.

xBox boy

I forgot to tell you how I scared the bejeepers out of Xbox boy yesterday.  It was bedtime  and I was hiding (as usual).

Mommy looked everywhere in her room and couldn’t find me.  Xbox boy  is terrified of me.  Maybe because I bit him on the cheek  once..or maybe twice.  It was a nip, but it freaked him out.

So, he sticks his head under Mommy’s armoire and..YOU GUESSED IT, I jumped on his face and nipped him.

He freaked! I thought it was funny considering he’s almost 6″ tall and weighs about 165 , whereas I’m about 2 feet tall and weigh about 6 pounds.

He doesn’t like me peeing or pooing on him or sneaking into his Man Cave (our sun room with his xBox, junk food and junk everywhere).  Mommy says it looks like  a fraternity house post-party..whatever that means.

When I manage to sneak into the sun room I nibble on Doritos, chips, sweets..and I dump over near empty cans of Mountain Dew and it tastes…WOW! good.   I’m not allowed to have any of this stuff..but if I’m sly..I can usually get in and out without Xbox boy seeing me.

Unfortunately for him..I leave a poo trail in his Doritos , which doesn’t make him like me any better. XO, Lulu

 

 

The short sticks are yummy

Little Bunny LuLu here…three months old and loving life.

About the short stick: I really like them.  Mommy got me these yummy short pear and blueberry branches and they are delish.

I like when she cracks them in the middle so I can stick both sides in my mouth and hop around looking like I have tusks.

So, the short stick is yummy. Now for the long “shtick.” I’m an English Angora BUNNY.  That means I’m naturally a rather ridiculous puff.

I don’t like hair in my food.  Or in my eyes.  Or in my nose.  My goodness, I couldn’t find my feet.  Can you imagine using the litter box with this frock?  Umm..GROSS!.

To make me feel better about the hairy mess, Daddy bought bandage scissors to thatch my bush. Bandage scissors are supposed to

NOT cut skin. Well, they cut skin.  Yowchie!

I let out a yelp when Mommy accidentally snipped me when she was trying to get rid of a mat at the nape of my neck. Since I’m small, it’s kind of hard to brush there. A knotted  fur ball like my kitty siblings siblings yack  grew BIG!

Mommy and Daddy took me  to MedVet 

They were really nice and fixed my boo-boo.  It’s almost all better now! My hair grows super fast.  Even clippers can cut me because my skin is paper-thin and stretchy.Maybe tomorrow Mommy and Daddy will  gently clip me.  Daddy will help keep me still..because I’m like a kernel of corn in the microwave..I pop.  I wiggle.  I fidget.

I especially am beautiful in my twill dresses. My 80s-style hair was incompatible with my wardrobe. If you have a furry friend, check out these  beautiful dresses.

Today I wore this yellow twill dress today.  Until I hopped out of it. My fuzzy feline sister Sadie Sue tried to eat the twill.  Luckily Mommy grabbed it in time.  Sadie Sue has a knack for eating just about everything. Earrings, Lego parts, paper, string, ribbon, plants, dryer sheets, paper, small toys, twist ties.  We can’t leave anything small out..otherwise Sadie Sue eats it.  It’s pretty gross when she erps it back up.

She’s eaten my brother Kedrick‘s pricey earbuds, headphone cords, pencil toppers.  Subie, our nickname for Sadie Sue, isn’t picky about non-food item edibles. She’s nutty.  I think she taught my feline brother Otis that bad habit because now he eats small Lego parts. I chomped on a Lego part.  Then I threw it aside.  Blah! No taste!  And I couldn’t even get my front tooth chomped into it.

I prefer strawberries, grapes, spinach, papaya, pineapple, pretzel bunny treats and crumbs of junk food littered around my brother Kedrick‘s bed.  Kedrick‘s a hot mess when it comes to messes.  Food, soda cans..it looks like a post-party frat house. Bad for Mommy and Daddy, but good for a little bunny who loves to eat sweets and crunchy chips.

My favorite habit is to nip Mommy’s unsuspecting foot.

You can see my stitches in this pic. That was a couple days ago.  My boo-boo is nearly better now.  I have to go back to the vet for a check up.  I’m just three months old and I’ve already been to the vet twice.  Once for a baby bunny well check and then for my boo-boo.

I’m loving being spoiled. I’m helping my folks with the vet bill by selling on eBay.  Take a look. Z-Ball ~my fuzzy friend

Meet Z.  One of my eight fuzzy feline friends.Her name is Zoé. Mommy calls her Z-ball or Z!  She’s a silver ball of fur that “mewps.”

She’s on the shy side. Kedrick (my human brother , a.k.a Xbox Boy) says Z‘s afraid of faces.

Z loves sitting under our high-top, glass kitchen table to mull around feet hoping for head taps and tummy rubs.

Z‘s not afraid of me.  She sniffs me. Then runs alongside during my super-speedy loops around the kitchen, dining room, living room, foyer and steps.

Z taught me how to jump like a cat and scale steps like a pro!  I can jump about 3 feet high. And, I run the stairs- up and down-faster than the fuzzies!   Mom says I’m like popcorn..pop here, pop there, pop everywhere.

Sometimes the other fuzzies scream and howl at each other..it’s freaky.  Z-Ball just plods along. Low key and lovable.  Me and Z.  Happy as can be.
