Yikes!

Sorry this is late. Every Friday I share a story abmom cabinout my Granny Nancy McClamroch.  She’s in Heaven now. Here’s more.

Mommy told me a story about how my Granny outfitted herself in a full body gorilla suit that looked totally real.  Granny  aped into her boss Landon Knight‘s office with her best ooh ooh ahh ahhs.

Mr. Knight was known for his crumudgeonesque manner, so he told Granny to get back to work without so much as a raised brow.

Mr. Knight’s in Heaven, too.  I imagine Granny’s enjoying his company.

It’s a bird..it’s a plane…

Hthunder 1oly macaroni and cheese!

My little bunny ears are aching.

The Thunderbirds !  It’s a sound you can’t miss.

They look like big red, white and blue birds. A cross between a bird and a bat.

They twirl and whirl, and flip upside down.  They fly straight up.  Then straight down.   thunder 2

I sort of got sea sick watching  the up, down and around.trix

We hear  military planes a lot since our house seems to be in their flying pattern.  But, the Thunderbirds..now that’s an ear-splitting sound.  The big birds are  here for an airshow.  Me and Mommy watched it  loudyesterday on YouTube.  You can see it here. It knocked my bunny socks off!

bun2 I don’t think bunnies are allowed into the airshow. I’m glad because it’s too loud from here.  My bunny brain can’t imagine how loud it’d be at the show! houserat

Our house rattles when the planes fly over it.  Sort of like being on the highway with your window down.  Like a HUGE sweeper, too.

My kitty siblings…  since they’re over-the-hill old..are freaked out kittyby the noise.  I think they’re all cowering in our dank basement.

The Thunderbirds arrived  Thursday.  They practiced Thursday and Friday.  funbun

Loads rumbling whoosh sounds til  tomorrow.

I’ll be glad when the big birds go bye bye.birdie   xoxo

Funny bunny

I’ve got some funnies for you. animated-rabbit-image-0062

How do you make a rabbit float?
Put soda, syrup, and milk into a glass.
Add one rabbit.

What’s the difference between a rabbit preparing for a beauty contest and a rabbit getting ready for dinner?

The first rabbit imagines world peace. The second rabbit imagines whirled peas.

I know, I’m corny today. There’s nothing better than a good belly laugh to make a day go from good to great!

Here’s one…Why did my bald-headed daddy paint a bunny on his head? Because from a distance it looked like hare.

That made me laugh so hard I thumped and let a poo-ball roll.

Granny blew the whistle

Christmas 2011 055

Granny Nancy McClamroch

Every Friday, I write about my Granny, Nancy McClamroch.  She’s in Heaven.  More here.

Mommy told me Granny couldn’t stand hearing people scream outside for their kids to come home.

She said she would never holler for her kids. She had a better idea.

In the 70s, Granny bought an industrial strength whistle.  blow whistle.png

When she wanted her kids to come home, she stood on the front porch, drew in a deep breath and then blew that whistle as hard as she could.

Then she’d head to the back porch and do the same.  All the neighborhood kids knew the whistle meant the McClamroch kids needed to get home.

It worked like a grapevine.  Even if the kids were too far to hear the whistle, other kids heard it.

Those kids told other kids until it got back to mommy and her brother that they needed to go home.

Granny kept that whistle on her key chain.

I guess Granny’s whistle was sort of like a cow bell calling folks to chow.  That’s cool.

More bunny vigilante craziness

A note from my Mommy & Daddy

A self-proclaimed rabbit expert, who has never seen my Little Bunny LuLu says my sweet LuLu is abused because we bathe her and let her go in our pool in her Mommy’s arms for a couple of minutes.

She started a bogus petition about our LuLu, which means truly abused bunnies are being ignored. Look here.

Her name is Linda Sue Malie.

She cherry-picked satire from our Little Bunny
LuLu blog and said we were abusing our LuLu.

Linda Sue Malie is a liar.

Happy, healthy, adored, well-cared-for LuLu

Our LuLu just had a vet well-visit (prior to scheduling spaying) and is in good health.IMG_6415

Bunny vigilantes have long history of bullying, stalking

It is wrong for these bunny vigilantes to say they know what is best for every bunny. These bunny vigilantes are scary people.

Many people contacted me saying they were harassed, bullied , threatened, and even stalked with violence by the bunny vigilantes.

The truth

I have NEVER promoted bunny swimming or bathing. Or throwing bunnies in pools.

I have been in contact with many people who bathe their bunnies and/or allow them to swim.

All of these bunny owners stressed that their choices are based on their bunnies’ individual personalities, as well as the health and well bring of their bunnies.

Bunnies in horrible pain due to arthritis have significantly benefited from water therapy and LOVE water.

Some bunnies love to play in the tub, or outside in water or in a pool. These folks made decisions based on their own bunnies.

I HAVE said that I know my bunny better than the bunny vigilantes.

I HAVE said that my LuLu is in good health, as she has regular veterinary care.

I HAVE said that I think making blanket statements about what is or isn’t good for ALL bunnies embarks on myths and Wives’ Tales.

I HAVE NOT said I’m an expert on rabbits. Nor have I ever given advice.

I SAID that I know LuLu best, as does her vet.

Bunny welfare advocates don’t want to see abused, bloodied and slayed rabbitsabused bunny

When I posted a pic of rabbits brutally slayed beside a picture of LuLu cuddling on my shoulder, I wrote, “Which bunny needs your attention?”

The Facebook bunny groups were horrified that I posted rabbits that had been butchered, along with rabbit that were having their fur brutally ripped out leaving their skin fiery red and bloodied, the bunny folks said there was no need to put brutality in their faces, yet they continued on their quest to “save LuLu.”

Bullying encourages more LuLu swim pics20160618_141402

I will continue putting LuLu pictures in our pool and bath pics until such time as the mentally disturbed Linda Sue stops the lies with her petitions.

She and other bunny people don’t want to help brutalized and slayed rabbits.

They want a bit of a happy suburban bunny because it gets them attention and leaves their warped mind wrapped around something to fight for.

THEY DON’T CARE ABOUT BRUTALIZED OR SLAYED RABBITS…..it is too horrifying for them.

They would rather bully, threaten and harass me about my sweet, happy suburban bunny.

Bunny welfare advocates have never even seen LuLu180

Not one of these “experts” has seen my LuLu. However, the bunny vigilantes have sent threats and ugly accusations.

I don’t give in to harassment or bullying.

These handful of bullies have been harassing bunny people for years.

Tons of nice bunny people get harassed, shamed, threatened and stalked by bunny vigilantes that are seriously disturbed individuals.

Read more here https://littlebunnyluluandfriends.wordpress.com/the-petiti…/

Linda Sue Malie directing people away from real bunny abuse and slaying

Linda Sue Malie has started an email campaign and another petition.

For every one vigilante bunny crazy, there have been at least 50 nice people who said they were bullied, harassed or otherwise bothered by know-it-all bunny vigilantes.

Stand up against bullying.

Leave the groups that condone harassment and bullying

Many of the FACEBOOK bunny boards allow the bunny vigilantes to harass and bully, yet removed my replies and removed me from the groups when I replied.

When I see bullying, I leave the group. If you’re in a bunny group that has allowed harassment, LEAVE.

I hope you will leave the Facebook Bunny MeMe, Disapproving Bunny and the Bunny Carrot Group. I’m told The Dodo group also does this.

These are the main offenders that encourage harassment and bullying and refuse to allow the “accused” to reply.

Change.org not a reputable site with fact checking

Even the petition site (change.org) states they don’t fact check; and the site doesn’t allow the “presumed” guilty person to reply.

Another question …

082.JPG

LuLu loves questions!

Here’s answers to some of the questions folks sent me.

Send your questions, too!

Jersey Snow Clam asked, “Do you like dogs?”

Hello Jersey.  Thanks for writing.  I have never seen a dog.  My folks want to introduce me to our neighbor’s pooch.

Her name is Diva.  Mommy says Diva‘s a beautiful black lab with a gentle, loving personality.

Well, that might be well and good, but I’m a bunny.   I’m thinking about canine instinct. Not good for a bunny.

Mommy says Diva is the absolute sweetest dog she’s ever met.  She said Diva might be like my kitties…afraid of me.

Well, at this point, I’m not ready to make dog friends.  I’ve got enough with my 8 kitty siblings, two brothers and my parents.  Oh, and the vet.

Anonymous asked, “LuLu, why do you want people to ask you for advice.  You’re a rabbit.  What can you possibly know?”

“Hay” anonymous.  Great question.  My Daddy says I’m magical.

Mommy says I have loads of interesting thoughts.

I thought it would be fun to give input.

I’m not an expert on anything other than eating.  I am very, very, very good at eating.

Lurch asked, “LuLu, what did you do today?”

Hi Lurch.  Today was a rather quiet day.  I did laps in the pool.  Ate weeds from the flower beds, and cleaned my hutch.

I’m ready to sit down with a triple cheeseburger, loaded curly fries and a Mountain Dew to watch TV.

Spring Cleaning - a spring coloring sheet Lurch, since some boneheads take everything written here as literal, I better add a disclaimer saying that my blog is satirical.  Anyone wanting to know what satire is can look here.

Ugly Duckling asked, “My rabbit is ugly.  He’s nice, but he’s ugly.  How can I get a rabbit that is cute like you?”

Hello there, Ugly Duckling.

I’m sad to hear you think your rabbit’s ugly.

I think all bunnies are cute.  There are tons of different kinds of rabbits. Look here.

Having an Angora bunny like me is loads of work.

Tons of grooming that takes loads of time.  Rabbits are a lot of work.  Mommy says I’m as much work as a newborn baby.

Amy, “LuLu, do you have a boyfriend?”

HSpeedy the cheeky house bunnyi Amy.  Mommy says I’m way to young to date.

I kind of, sort of, well, maybe have a tiny crush on Sir Speedy.

More on Speedy here.

082.JPG

You asked…

Jen emailed me this question, “What do you do during the day? Do you watch TV?

180.JPG

Me with my Twiglet Treat box of yummies

Hello Jen.  Thanks for stopping by and emailing me questions.

I love, love, love, love when folks ask me questions or write to say “hello.”

Jen, At around 4 a.m. I start to loudly strum my hutch metal walls. It’s not a nice sound.

Then, if my folks are able to sleep through that (my indoor hutch is in their bedroom), I proceed to Level 2.

I take my baseball-sized ball that has a bell in it to the second floor of my hutch.

Then I fling it down the ramp and it crashes into the wall.  It’s super loud.

Usually  that’s when Mommy or Daddy say, “Lula-Bear, it’s still nighty night time.  Go night night.”  At that point I sometimes comply.  So, I have some hay flakes and hay sticks and I take a nappy.

By about 5:30 a.m. I’m spent.  Time for me to get the heck out of my hutch and play! Mommy or Daddy opens the hutch door, I hop out and jump onto Mommy.

She’s usually asleep until I plunk on her face.  That wakes her up mighty fast.

She rubs my head, which is my favorite place to be rubbed.  She sings her Little Bunny LuLu song to me, “Little Bunny LuLu hoppin’ through the house, chasin’ all the kitty cats..makin’ them go nuts.”

I cuddle with Mommy until Daddy’s ready for work.  Then I follow him down the hall and steps.  He and I race for the cat’s food bowl.

I’m quicker than him.  I can usually snag half a morsel of my kitties’ chow before Daddy grabs the bowl and sets it on the kitchen island.

I haven’t tried to jump onto the island yet, but I can jump over 3.5 feet high, so I might start practicing because I love, love, love Purina Cat Chow.

And my folks say, “No, no LuLu, you can’t have the kitties’ food.”

As soon as my kitty siblings hear me and Daddy coming down the steps, they do a mad-dash-scramble to get to higher ground.

Meaning they get to someplace over 3.5 feet high so I don’t chase and love bite them.

Mommy turns on music in the kitchen.  The kitties and I hang out together.  We like sunning in the front dining room window.

violet lulu

Me and Violet on the bunk beds Daddy made

Daddy made us a three-tiered bunk bed that we love to sit on.

There’s also cat tower “thingie” that has two perches on it.

Mommy scooted a dining room chair over to the window so more kitties can enjoy the beautiful, warm sunshine.

Since I have 8 kitty siblings, usually I can find at least one that either lets me chase him/her; or will let me just sit close by.

Next to sitting in the window, I love sitting under the dining room table.

It’s maple wood and I kind of blend in.

When I was smaller, I could wiggle under the massive table leg spaces.

I’m a teenager in human years, so I can be catty.

I love to chase after the kitties.  When I catch them, I give them a little love bite.

I always catch them because they’re super slow.  In human years, most of them are in their 70s, except for Sophie.

Plus, I hop turbo-fast. They get mad if I bug them too much.  They’ll hiss.  Then I growl, which terrifies them.

These are very wimpy kitties.  When I was an itty-bitty bunny they were scared of me. Now I’m about Chloe’s size, so they really are scared.

022

Chloe..Mommy calls her Clarice for a reason

For lunch Mommy makes me mixed greens with a berry or two in my mini-bowl.

I usually cuddle more with her and then I’m back to the kitty action.

I mostly hang out with Violet.  She’s a long haired kitty that I think is really a bunny.

A bunny that wears her ears on her fluffy tail.  Anyway, I usually find and sit with Violet.

053

Violet looking for me

Me and the kitties have golf balls  we love to roll on our tile kitchen floor.  The balls roll in  the grout lines, and it’s like soccer.

Our golf balls make loads of noise on the floor, which we love! Anyone still sleeping, doesn’t like the noise.

rowen pic.png

Rowen with my Mommy

Reminds me of X-Box Boy

I think X-Box Boy and my older brother Rowen, often hide the balls to keep us from making noise.

But Mommy always puts them back out.We play with these pretend little mice, too.  The kitties like to toss them in the air, and I can do that now, too.

Our Zhu Zhu hamsters

We have Zhu Zhus that make funny noises and are on auto-pilot.

They’re fun to chase after.  I just put a paw on top of the top and press and it springs to life.

Sometimes I enjoy sitting on the leather furniture in the living room because it’s nice and cool, and so soft.

Other times I like sitting on one of the kitty beds that are on my sisters’ beds.  And, I like to sit on the vent because I love cool air.

I like to run super fast up and down the steps.  Flying, with all paws in the air.  I’m Super Bunny!

How I look when called “bunny”

I think it’s so much fun!  My brother, who I call XBox Boy, comes out of his sun room man cave once in awhile and calls me “bunny.”

I don’t like being called “bunny.”  Grrrrrrr

He doesn’t much like me because I bully him.  When no one’s looking I chase him growling and then I nip his heels.

X-Box Boy was the baby of the family until I came along.  I think he’s working through those issues with me getting all the attention.

I have to tell you that I laugh so hard when I see X-Box Boy (who is nearly 6″ tall and weighs about 165 pounds) run away from a four-pound bunny.

105.JPG

See how tall X-Box Boy is!

Every time he comes out of his man cave, I chase him.

When Mommy’s not looking I really go for him! Mommy snapped a pic of him running away with me leaping into the air to get him.

The patch on the wall is from X-Box boy opening the door too far and it booya-d the wall.

And all my eBay stuff makes the master bedroom full of stuff I’m sorting through.  So, please excuse my mess.

164.JPG

Me flying through the air after X-Box-Boy

As you can see, I enjoy playing with the kitties and cuddling throughout the day.  In the evening my folks sit in their bed and watch TV.

That’s when I sit at the bottom of their bed and munch on my Twiglet Treats (organic twigs that I even have available for sale), hay and sprinkled bunny treats that I forge for in the bottom of the box.

twiglet treats w price

You can order these from me.  Twiglet Treats.

Mommy brushes me for what seems like a very, very long time.  Then she rubs my head.

I like to take a fast hop onto Mommy because she’s like a trampoline.  She’s so soft to jump on.

At around 10 p.m. my folks put me in my hutch.

They have a cover that goes over the outside, which seems to help me relax and sleep.

By 10 p.m. I’m tired as can be and ready to head to the second floor cubby of my hutch and fall asleep.

You asked about TV.  This will sound nutty, but I like the Moonshiners reality TV show.

Maybe it’s the woods or the funny way they talk.  Whatever it is, I like it. I like Jeopardy, too.

IMG_7060.JPG

Me watching Moonshiners

I like watching the real-life vet shows, especially Dr. Pol. But, most of the time, I don’t pay attention to the TV.  I’m just there for the cuddles.

I’d love to hear from you! Please use my contact form to send me questions.  I give advice, too.  Although it’s silly.
